Debbie has been painting coastal scenes for as long as she can remember. She gets her inspiration from walking along the beaches, watching the waves, the smell of the sea, the colour and texture of the beach and the formation of the sand dunes. Her favourite beaches are Camber sands, Normans Bay and the North Devon coast line.
She mainly paints in acrylic using a palette knife to give texture and flicks and dribbles paint for a quirky feel. Debbie sells her artwork through local galleries as well as Art and Craft Fairs.
Her driftwood pieces are painted on reclaimed driftwood resourced from local beaches, they are painted in acrylic and are varnished so they can be hung outside. Each piece has a hook on the back for hanging.
